![]() So I was curious if grinding levels in this game was completely necessary or just a preference. You won't get a VAC for it and nobody cares how you level up. Some of my friends I play with have a "hurry up and have fun" mentality. Lvling up in any custom map doesn't warrant a vac ban because they don't run programs in the game, you just play on a map woth different routes and decals. From personal experience, I did the switch to HoE as most of my perks were roughly 20 or so, and a long game on HoE gained half of the xp per level at that point. I'm enjoying my ride through the level system currently. Harder waves yield more xp per assist/kill, and also spawn more zeds in total amounting to a lot more xp in the end. I don't see why a exp boost system like that would hurt anything. It definitely would be great to have a exp boost for having higher level classes while using low level classes to remedy the need to grind out a certain game difficulty/length just to reach a point you deem fun. Personally, I didn't feel any type of rush to get to what I call HoE status, but I fully understand people wanting to get their perk trees opened up for versatility sake. I agree that the perk tree allows flexibility and gives access to play styles which seem to be missing early game, but I felt like the early levels were just an intro period to the class. lvl 6 sharp shooter), but it was always fun playing in lower difficulties with my classes at lower levels. It doesn't matter what map it is, you'll still get XP. Right now the only mods whitelisted are max zeds and max players. If a server runs mods that are not white listed then your XP won't save. If a map comes bundled with mods or some game altering configurations then XP won't save. The difficulty level I play at is dependent on what level my class is on. All maps by default allow experience gain. I've been approaching this level system similar to how I approached KF1. You already have a survival mode, which just add some extra code so there is no end and it gets progressivly harder and zeds have more hp/do more dmg.I understand what you mean. You probably could make an endless mode very fast, probably wouldn't even take a day or 2 if done right. Oh right, that would take like an hour of coding to get done and TWI only has like half an hour/month to spent on KF2. How about add a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ endless mode already to keep players busy with records/highscores? if that class is low level I'm at a huge disadvantage. This level up bs just acts like a way to keep the players busy with stuff they shouldn't be busy with. ![]() I did legit level both medic and firebug to lv25 and also did demo to lv20 within about 150 hours of gameplay, but I did also infact boost gunslinger and swat to lv.25 simply because I am not going to spent ♥♥♥.king 50 hours each perk to get that sh.itty zed time ability for them. Players should have it from the start and level a cosmetic badge up to lv.25 to dispaly their experience. The only kind of reward is a new ability to choose which is nice yes, but the way to it isn't worth it for a dumb ability that changes gameplay very little, like a stupid headshot extra dmg multiplier or you can shoot faster during zed time. Meanwhile you have to grind and grind for hours (it took me around 50 solid hours of firebug to get it to 25 and I did mostly play on suicidal mind you) and you get almost no rewards. If someone is high level with a class, you expect them to be good. I mean, for crying out loud, it's the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. You can still keep leveling itself, but only be it cosmetical. How it should work is, doesn't matter if you're level 0 or 25 you always have access to all the talents that a perk offers. In HOE it's very obvious who's boosted their way to 25.
